Can I open the NAT files in Excel?

Yes, however it will be hard to read these files so we recommend using the built-in AVETMISS data preview

The NAT files follow the AVETMISS specification which is based on fixed length field text files
These files can be opened in Excel however they will be very hard to read since the fields do not have fixed boundaries 

We suggest inspecting these files using PowerPro (Home > AVETMISS Files) as this provides a simpler interface which can be used to sort and filter the data by any column:
